I try not to listen It's a private matter, after all It's between her and you Nothing for me to do Just a hand on yours I try to ignore it Try not to feel your heart break It's between you and her Not a thing for me to do Just a hug from my heart I try to tune out Try not to weep for the pain of my love It's between her and you Not a damn thing for me to do As I sit here and try not to hurt |

Time waits for no one And love is lost and found Time is moving forward With us upon the ground Your heart I'll hold forever With memories running deep And the image I shall cherish You safely in my arms asleep So, hold me close for comfort And kiss my heart goodbye For I, along with lonely time With glory-wings shall fly Love waits for no one And time is lost and found And love is moving onward With me upon the ground... |

"Come away with me," he sang "Come away where love grows wild With trees and stars for a canopy Where the wind sings of freedom And the mountains sigh with peace. Come away to the babbling brook And the thund'rous waterfall; Come to where water isn't lonely Where earth is not tormented."
His heart sang to hers A temptation worth a risk To traverse the mountainsides Sweetly alone together.
He left her alone to think As the wild wind howled Inside her lonely heart.
"Come away with me," it sang "Come away to the rocky cliffs Sandy beaches and roaring waves. Come away where the heart swims in peace Where water's turbid cry Is soothed by earth's caress; Where dolphins ride regal And seaweed graces tresses."
When the salt breeze blows inland Her hair trembles, damp from tides As her eyes of tempest-twisted jade Shed a tear for him, her love, Whose heart is far away, Whose deep sea-blue orbs Now gaze on mountain lakes.
"Come away with me," she sang, Her voice sailing to the trees, "Come away to where our lives are one. Come to where the seagulls call And life is for the living; Where my heart is yours And yours is just divine. Come to where it's you and me Forever side by side."
From far away, the lovers sighed. "Come away with me," they sang "Just come away with me; Come away." |

Your heart speaks to mine And from far away, tomorrow I shall still feel your lips Gentle on my cheek Caress away mine worries With a kiss upon the wind |

Call me Shallot, thy lady love For as the Lady of the Lake I too drifted in a world alone 'Till you brought me into life Thy gentle caress and loving words Embrace my heart of hearts Her, thy one, is both enemy and friend For I cannot hurt her of him I love Her heart is thine as is mine Her soul is tattered from years ago I cannot help to burn her Yet burn one must, let it be me For in hurting her, I would hurt thee So, hurt me, mine love To keep from hurting thee |

I borrow wings of morning From the setting moon and rising sun And I take these wings of morning To fly from Sea to Earth A man slumbers in a mermaid's arms Her dress has been tossed aside Freely given to the man she loves Her heart is no longer hers She does not grieve the loss Rejoice, she does, in the giving of her soul As she borrows wings of morning And flies from Sea to Earth |

The Earth smiles in his sleep yet, his brow is frought with worry He turns and trembles - An earthquake is forthcoming It shall rent the Earth And the Sea shall weep For the Earth, who never cries |

If the mermaid were a sculpter She'd form her Galatea In the shape of a man Her love is far away Close enough to kiss Yet impossible to have If the mermaid were a sculpter She'd form her Galatea In the shape of a man With brown-blonde hair And a reddish beard Lashes black as night Would shade his sea-blue eyes Muscles soft as petals And harder than a rock And his heart she would treasure If he could grant it her |

The Earth purrs in his sleep With the Sea close beside him Gazing on her resting love As the bird trill 'Good Morrow' The Earth shifts in his slumber As the Sea gently holds him Close inside her bosom Her waves lap against his skin Telling tales of all her love To the sandy beches and Rocky shores she's come to know so well |
 |
|
The Sea has sculpted her Galatea And now he sleeps upon the shore As gentle waves lap across his skin Amphitrite gazes, breathless, On the beauty of the Earth Perfect in his imperfection Unattainable, yet all she ever needs |

A mermaid gazes on the Earth With memories, sweet as honey, Running through hermind A scale ismissing from her fin From when she walked on land ~*~ The Sea whispers Itallian To the Sindarin-speaking Earth - A proclamation of herlove: Ti amo, il mio cuoro |

A mermaid lies upon a rock Not too far from shore Her breath turns to smoke In the early-morning chill She gazes on a man Asleep upon the sand Sunlight's kiss upon his skin Fulfills the yearning of her lips He shifts in his sleep As waking comes too soon His brow is marred with worry Peace no longer shall be his She slips below the water Content with but these moments Peace must, and shall, be his again |

The Sea awakes to find the Earth Burning gold with Apollo's morning rays Her waves caress sleeping shoulders Fingers of foam gently trace A sculpted cheek, a sandy profile Lashes soft the dove's song Flutter 'gainst his skin His face is peaceful when he rests As if cares of storms, of fire and of wind Are no longer in his ken The Sea begs Apollo not to wake her love Tormented in waking, please sleep in peace And I shall love you in my dreams |

A dolphin calmly rests 'Gainst the bosom of the Sea As the whispers of her heart Scream silently in his mind
She waits for all eternity For the sweet embrace of Earth For a small moment of peace 'Midst the calamity of her world
The dolphin rises over waves Breaching blue, breathing blue To sing her heart to the birds Who carry their treasure to Earth
The Earth, jubilant at the news, Rewards the birds With sweet berries from his vines And safe rest in his trees
The birds sing Earth’s affection Flying low over waves Stopping on rocks to speak With Poseidon’s swimming horses
The dolphins return with their message To the aquamarine bosom of the Sea Swimming and leaping Dancing over her waves
The Sea, rejoicing in their reports Calms her turbid currents Rewarding the dolphins With herrings and safe waters
Earth and Sea wait An eternity of low tide ‘Till Mistress Moon Shall make them one again |

The Sea’s touch is as gentle As the soft winds of spring
Spring’s breezes blow From Sea to Earth, a token of love
Breezes blow through the spring flowers, Petals shower the Earth.
Rain feeds the flowers, So the petals may bloom Bright enough for the Sea to witness
The Earth has many reasons to thank the Sea.
The Sea needs no thanks, Her gifts are from her heart
How can the Earth repay her?
By allowing the Sea To feel Earth's warms beaches, To smell the petals of the flowers, And gaze upon the trees
The Earth cradles the Sea upon it.
The Sea cherishes the Earth's embrace
The Earth awakens in the morning, Feeling the Sea next to him.
The Sea finds gentle rest from the tempests In the Earth's loving arms, she sleeps safely
The Earth gets life from her
The Sea is reborn with him
Each complete with the other
Yet completely incomplete When the tides do roll away
He without she is empty.
Her depths are frozen without him
The fields are barren without she.
The Seals die without him
The wind howls through the desolate plains
The Sea weeps for the Earth
The Earth endures.
The Sea laps comfort
The memory of the Earth is long. He remembers the caress of waves.
The Sea cannot forget the breath of the Earth. His scent intoxicates
The sweet smell of the waves Soothes the unruly Earth.
Gentle fingers of sand Tame the spunky Sea
Together there is one. Apart there is nothing.
Together the voids are filled. Apart, 'tis only abyss
Smoke curls forth from him.
She sends rain to damp the fire
The Earth is at peace Only when the Sea is there.
Tempests claim ships, Only when Earth is far
A man stands on the edge of the shore, Gazing out at the Sea.</i>
A mermaid floats on the waves, Doting on the Earth
He wonders about the Sea.
She'd love to climb a tree
He can help her climb.
She can help him swim
Spring is near
The Sea is restless
The Earth waits
The Sea shall wake the flowers
The Earth shall calm the Sea
A mermaid will walk on land
The man will swim
He shall not swim alone
She shall not walk alone
Earth and Sea, Forever entwined
Together, each is
Without one, There is only air
Without the other, There is only emptiness
Two, minus one, equals zero |

Bare feet tread in frozen stars Lying, dying, on the ground Cold, white stars falling in my hair As I waltz alone at midnight My, heart, once cold as the snow Now littering the grass Melts and burns with a tango – Passion and love for one For the love of all things sacred Come dance with me Under the falling stars |

Mistress Moon shines by day On the Earth and on the Sea A mermaid lies upon a stone Gazing on a centaur away upon the shore An Irish brogue croons richly In their distant hearts The Sea shines gaily by moonlight The Earth sparkles bright by sun Conflicted by nature and heart Forever together, forever twain Mistress Moon shines by day As a mermaid’s heart salts the Sea As a centaur’s mind tears the Earth |

A sad day it is When I am brought so low As to sell my soul, piece by piece For but a penny a line Just a penny a word A penny for your soul... |

Earth encompasses the Sea In gently-loving arms Murmuring Sindarin to The Italian-speaking Waves Kisses soft as sunshine Grace the shoulders of each The Sea is calming The Earth is blooming Life is lived again |
